I like having Diane Angle of Oregon as a seminar teacher. Unfortunately, 2003 will be her last year for travel teaching. It's our loss.
This egg turned out to be almost nothing like the design that Dianne planned, except for the cut, the prints, and the base. Diane planned an earthtone egg and I desired a bit more color. The fabric in the lattice cut insert is a piece of my grandson's wool baby sweater that got washed in hot water. Knew it would come in handy for something someday. My grandson is 22 now and in the Air Force. The bow colors are picked up from the rain coat. Everything is paper except for the cattails and the tiny yellow flowers. They are clay. The red weeds are from my yard. The tree leaves and the sunflower are punches, and the tree trunk is tree wrap from Home Depot. The braid was found at Michael's, and the kids use it to spice up their jeans. I like it here. If you look closely at the rain girl scene, you can see the "glue" raindrops.
