Eggcentricities

Paint Shop Pro by Jasc, now ball link markerCorel, is another of my addictions, I'm afraid. I honestly don't know what I'd do without it anymore. I've used it since I was referred to a free download several years back. I think I downloaded version 3.5 or 4.2, and have purchased every version since then, and have just received version 8 in the mail and have installed it.

I use it to design for my egg art, make graphics and wonderful designs for my family geneology scrapbooks, create graphics from tutorials written for Paint Shop Pro for any manner of uses, and anything else I can think of. I can use my Sony Mavica FD-95 and bring the photographs from disk right into Paint Shop Pro for cropping, resizing, and fixing if need be. The uses are endless and I'm still investigating it's capabililties.

I've mentioned learning how to make these graphics from online tutorials, that are written by wonderful graphic artists, just for us to learn from. Without them, we'd be struggling with these paint programs forever, I'm sure. There are many lists on the Internet that you can join and learn from. A starting place to find them would be here: ball link markerPaint Shop Pro Groups. I have since graduated and work with the graphics on my own, but these instructors patience and expertise in writing the tutorials for us has been invaluable, at least to me.

Rosemal Painted Divider

My signature logo below, is one of the first things I created from a single font in PSP. Took me awhile because up to that time I hadn't discovered the great graphic tutorials that are out there.

The Eggcentricities site graphics are scanned, cropped, resized, and manipulated within PSP, and were scanned from my Norwegian Rosemaled (rose painting in oil) breadboard. So were the dividers.

The Welcome page graphic (the country cottage) is from a small child's chair that was painted in acrylic with this design. It was then photographed, and scanned into PSP. This was before I got my camera. This was when I discovered the magic of PSP's tubes (picture painting, I call it). Great invention whoever designed it.

The ball link markerUnicorn egg on the front egg page was also created in Paint Shop Pro. I bet you thought it was a natural shell egg, didn't you?

My guestbook graphic was created from a tutorial by JoJo's Tutorial Depot. Hers is a password protected site now, due to the problem of direct linking. Shame on whomever. The March flower graphic was from my mother's very worn and tattered birthday book, where she kept all her friends and family member's birthdays. Hers was in March, therefore that flower image. I scanned the entire book and brought the images into PSP, cleaned them and exported them as tubes. I've used these many times as they are unique. The book is over 75 years old.

I'll be adding some of my favorite graphics to these pages from time to time.
