The fine art of decorating, designing, cutting and sculpting natural shell eggshells has become my passion. Wrapping paper, gift cards, paint...both oils and acrylics...clay, miniatures, precious cloths and silks, laces, ribbons, beads, and now the computer and printer, are all used to create delightful pieces of art from the egg shell, along with the aid of my air drill. All manner of shells, from the very tiny finch egg to the very large ostrich egg are fair game to the eggshell artist. Only non-fertile, domestic eggs are used by the egg artist.
I am in the process of re-photographing eggs that are still in my possession that haven't been sold or given to friends and family. I hope to obtain better detailed photograph as my skills with my Sony Mavica FD-95 digital camera progress. It's still very new to me.

Emuszine magazine, has asked for Christmas 2002 ornaments to be displayed in the magazine. She has chosen two of my ornaments and a fantasy fairy egg. Violin Music and Gingerbread Man are displayed at Emuszine in the Archives section under Egg Art Articles, Christmas Ornaments - A Family Tradition. Gingerbread Man is also displayed in the section Fairytale Eggs. My fairy, Fae Glendine is in the section Fantasy Eggs at the same link. Violin Music has been sold. Gingerbread man was a Xmas gift exchange at my egging club.
Maureen Williams in Australia has created an eggers learning group at Google, called EggersPSP. The idea of this new group is to learn Paint Shop Pro so that it can be used to design and create natural shell eggs. Maureen has issued the first Challenge of the Month.
